A Perfect Hotel for Travellers or a City Break!

I had a wonderful stay at The ED Amsterdam when I visited Amsterdam in April. Upon arrival, the self check in was very easy to use and the tourist tax was sorted quickly with the help of the lovely front desk lady! The hotel is in a perfect location, not too far from the city centre, but not too close for excessive noises. You can walk towards the city centre to experience the streets and canals, or walk the other way and see Vondelpark or the Foodhallen. As for the room, it was spotless when we got there, and when they cleaned. The room was silent during the night providing a great nights sleep. The mattress and the pillows were EXCELLENT, and extremely comfortable. There is a Lidl about a 2 minute walk away and Dam Square was about a 20 minute walk, with plenty to do along the way. There is a coffee machine provided as well as tea and coffee pods. Upon arrival, some tiny Tony’s chocolates are provided which we thought was a lovely gesture! Overall, The Ed Hotel was a perfect stay for my short trip and I would definitely recommend for young travellers!

Perfect for Museum lover

I loved the location. A 5-7 min walk to public transportation and in a good neighborhood for dining. It’s also extremely aesthetic and a modern experience from store checkout to room keys. This was super close to museum district, one stop on public transportation. I would not recommend this hotel’s room size for anyone who isn’t solo traveling. The rooms were barely big enough for me. I was bumping into everything.

How about a little ED

Wonderful, quirky, clean hotel just enough out of the touristy area but not so far that you can't walk everywhere. Rooms are small but the price is right and the hotel very charming and clean. Staff were always very friendly and helpful.

Recommend for a short stay

If you aim to spend more time outside and use the hotel just to rest, it is a very good choice. The room and the bathroom were clean and the room met my expectations.

Lovely stay at The ED

Everything about my stay was great! The location was only a few blocks from both the tram and bus, and there is a bus that takes you directly from the airport to very near the ED. I was able to check in early, the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The bathroom is quite small and could be challenging for someone of a larger stature.
